Visit VisaforChina.org to Submit China Visa Application

VisaforChina.org is the official website of the China Visa Application Center, and you can find all the information you need and the steps to apply for a China visa on the site.
On the front page, look for the Indonesian flag then select the city in which you will apply for a visa. Currently you can apply in Jakarta, Surabaya-Denpasar, and Medan.

After selecting the city, you will find the next page. On this page, select Step by Step Guidance for Visa to get a step by step guide for applying for a China Visa.
Don’t forget to click on the ” As a Tourist ” option in point number 3, regarding ” major purpose of your visit to China ” or the main reason for visiting China. On the next page, read the Terms of Conditions listed, fill in the verification code, and check the statement that you have read the Terms of Conditions.

Conditions for Making a Chinese Visa

On the next page, you will be shown the required documents for a Chinese visa application. The following are these conditions:
1. Original passport , with a validity period of more than 6 months and still has blank pages remaining. Also prepare a photocopy of your passport (data and photo parts).
2. China visa application form . This form can be filled out online and then printed and signed, or you can also download it and then filled out on a computer. China Visa Application Center no longer accepts handwritten visa application forms. Don’t forget to fill in all the form pages, print them and take them to the Visa Application Center later!

4. If you are under 18 years of age , you must also include:
  1. Photocopy of birth certificate
  2. Photocopy of passport or parent’s identity card
  3. Parental permission letter (if traveling alone) containing parents’ contact information and departure date
5. Apart from the main documents, you can also include supporting documents, namely:
  1. Travel itinerary
  2. Proof of round-trip plane ticket booking
  3. Proof of hotel reservation
  4. If you are going to China by invitation, also include an official Invitation Letter from the relevant party.

    All Documents Must Be Submitted to China Visa Center

    After all the documents have been prepared, what you need to do next is go to the China Visa Center to submit the documents. You can make an appointment online first, or just come directly to the Visa Center.
    Remember, come to the China Visa Center and not the Chinese Embassy! China Visa Center in Jakarta is open Monday-Friday at The East Building , 7th Floor, Unit 07-12, Jl, DR Ide Anak Agung Gde Agung Blok E.3.2 Kav 1 South Jakarta.
    Submission of visa application documents is served at 09.00 – 15.00 WIB, while payment and passport collection is served at 09.00 – 16.00 WIB.

    Long Process for Making a Chinese Visa

    There are two Chinese visa services at the China Visa Center, namely regular and express. The processing time for a Chinese visa for regular services is 4 working days, while for express services, the processing time is 3 working days.

    Cost of Making a Chinese Visa

    The Chinese visa fee must be paid on the day of passport collection. The cost of regular and express services is of course different. For regular services and single entry visas, the fee is IDR 540,000. Meanwhile, for single entry express, the fee is IDR 900,000.
