1. Passport

3. Latest passport photo measuring 4.5cm x 3.5cm, must be taken within the last 6 months. The passport photo must be without a background, not edited, and the appearance of the face, including the ears, should be clearly visible. It is recommended to take a photo shoot in a photo studio so that your photo is not rejected.
4. Photocopy of KTP
5. Photocopy of Student Card or Study Certificate (if still a student)
6. Proof of booking a return ticket to Japan

8. Financial proof documents, such as bank statements or savings books for the last 3 months
If the costs for your trip to Japan are not your own (for example, from your father or mother), you need to include financial documents from the person responsible for the costs and be equipped with documents that can prove your relationship with the person responsible for the costs, such as a family card.

How to Register for a Japanese Visa Waiver If You Have an E-Passport
With an e-passport, you no longer need to apply for a Japanese visa every time you go on holiday to Japan, but you still have to register first. The fun thing is, starting March 27 2023, Japanese visa-free registration is now done online via the Japan Visa Exemption System (JAVES)!
This means that Indonesian e-passport holders no longer need to come to the Japanese Representative Office or Visa Center (JVAC) to register for a Japanese waiver visa.

How to apply for a Japanese visa waiver offline
Want to still apply for a Japanese visa waiver offline? The following are the steps to register for a Japanese visa free directly at the Japanese Consulate Office or Japan Visa Application Center.
Step 1
Download or download the Japanese visa waiver registration form first (document available in PDF or DOCX ). Fill in your e-passport data correctly, then take it with your e-passport to the Japanese Embassy/Consulate General/Consulate Office in Indonesia.
If you live in Jakarta, you must arrange for Japanese visa-free registration at the Japan Visa Application Center (JVAC) at VFS Global.
Step 2
Submit your e-passport and visa waiver registration form that you have filled out. You also have to pay a fee of IDR 125,000 if you register via VFS Global (if you are in Jakarta). The embassy will carry out the registration process.
Usually the registration process takes 2 working days if you apply at the embassy, ​​or 5 working days at JVAC.
Step 3
If your registration is accepted, the embassy will put a visa-free sticker on your e-passport. You can take back your e-passport at the time indicated. If your registration is accepted, you can immediately fly to Japan to travel during the validity period of the visa-free sticker!
If your registration is not accepted, you can still apply for a Japanese visa via the normal route.
With a visa-free sticker, you can visit Japan for a maximum of 15 days in one visit . But there is no visit limit, aka you can visit Japan many times without registering for visa-free again, as long as your visa-free sticker is still valid.
The validity period of the Japanese visa-free sticker is three years or until the expiry of your e-passport – whichever expires first. After that, you can reapply for visa-free registration.
