What is the Difference Between Each Type of Visa?

You may be wondering: what is the difference between each of the visas above? The following is a brief explanation.

Single Entry Visa

This is a Korean visa that is valid for one visit only. This means that after you use it to visit Korea once, the visa will expire and will no longer be valid.
Please note that apart from the single entry visa for tourism purposes with a maximum stay of 90 days, there is also a Single Entry Visa with a stay of more than 91 days, but only for study purposes, work, accompanying relatives in Korea, and other reasons.

Double Entry Visa

You can choose this Korean visa if you really intend to visit Korea 2 times within 6 months . The length of stay at each visit is less than 90 days.

Multiple Entry Visa

Do you intend to go back and forth to Korea because just one vacation to Korea doesn’t feel like enough? You can apply for a Multiple Entry Visa. You can use this Korean visa multiple times for 5 years, with a maximum stay of 30 days.
However, to get it, you must meet the requirements of having visited Korea at least once or having visited one of the OECD countries, or other requirements such as civil servants/BUMN employees/others.

Group Visa

This visa can only be applied for by a tourist group of a minimum of 5 people and a maximum of 50 people with the same departure and return schedule. You also have to apply for a Group Visa through a travel agent registered at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Indonesia.

How long does it take to make a Korean visa

Starting March 6 2023, the length of the Korean visa application process (for single visas) is 9 working days, which is calculated the day after the day of application.
Even though it may seem short, Klook does not recommend that you make your Korean visa too close to your departure day! The problem is, it is very possible that the visa application process will take longer.
If there are documents that are missing or considered problematic, you may also have to come back again to complete additional documents. So, it is recommended to apply at least one month before departure.

How Much Balance Should You Have in Your Savings Account?

Questioning the amount of savings account balance you must have in order for your Korean visa application to be accepted is definitely one of the big questions. So, how much account balance should you need to prepare to apply for a Korean visa?
In fact, the Korean Embassy does not require a minimum balance to appear on the bank statement you collect. Even so, of course the amount of balance in your checking account will still be a consideration, so you should still prepare a sufficient balance.
For example, maybe you can prepare a balance of at least twice your planned spending during your holiday in Korea. For example, with a 7 day travel plan and an assumed expenditure of IDR 1 million per day, the minimum balance you need to “leave” in a savings account is IDR 14 million. Of course this is just an estimate!
