You can get a work permit in Germany. together with a residence permit with one application at the German Immigration Authority Office, or Ausländerbehörde in German. People coming from high-income countries, such as the European Union, the United States, Japan and other countries listed below, do not need a visa to come to Germany to look for work. Most other workers must obtain visas from German embassies or consulates abroad.

Work permit in Germany
Work permits in Germany come in various forms. They depend on your employment status and credentials.
General work permit
If you find a position in Germany that cannot be filled by an EU citizen, you can apply for this kind of work permit. Exceptional talent is not a requirement as long as you meet the job requirements.
High-skilled worker permits
If you are a high-skilled worker with a lot of experience and a high salary, you can apply for this kind of work permit.
EU Blue Card for Germany
If your annual income is at least €56,400, or €43,992 if you are short, you can apply for an EU Blue Card.
Do you need a work visa for Germany
Anyone who finds work in Germany is entitled to apply for a German work visa, however application requirements and procedures vary based on the applicant’s country of origin.
There are three qualification categories based on nationality:
Switzerland, EU and EEA
USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Israel or Australia
Citizens of other countries
Job seekers who are EU, Swiss, Liechtenstein, Norwegian or Icelandic citizens
For the purpose of working in Germany, citizens of EU countries, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Iceland are exempt from the requirement to apply for a visa or work permit. Simply register if you plan to extend your stay beyond three months. You must go to your local Immigration Office (Ausländerbehörde) or Residence Registration Office (Einwohnermeldeamt) to register your vote.
Workers from other countries, such as Israel, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Canada, or the United States
Individuals from the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, Japan, or South Korea can travel to Germany, seek employment, and directly apply for a work permit and residence permit at the Ausländerbehörde. The German Embassy in your home country does not require you to obtain an entry visa in order to work.
Citizens of other non-EU countries

You cannot enter Germany on a Schengen visa or via a visa-free agreement and then apply for a work permit. Your application will be rejected immediately. You must demonstrate to the Immigration Authorities that you are entering Germany for employment purposes, not tourism.
